SHIMAJapan is a kimono and Japanese traditional fabric wholesaler “Kinjiro Shimada”established in [1974] by the founder who left his native coastal fishing village to learn the trade in Takefu, Fukui Prefecture. The current third-generation owner, a Waseda University graduate in American literature, is a Japanese calligrapher and businesswoman with an international background. We wish to invite the larger global community to share in our world of traditional Japanese culture in a peaceful spirit of international exchange.
